[Intro] This work was created by Donna Leishman for her Doctorate project at the Glasgow School of Art. It was intended to “examine whether point-and-click interaction interfered with a story’s flow.” Leishman explains that “this interactive RedRidingHood is aimed at adults and those pesky adolescents. It’s all about dressing up, playing out different rolesthe paths we should be taking. It is a somewhat twisted version of the classic boy meets girl storyand yes you will have to point and click to see this tale unravel.” RedRidingHood is virtually wordless, relying upon images, music and interactivity to keep the viewer engaged. There are many hidden surprises that can be found within, similar to video games. RedRidingHood offers an experience very different from the classic tale.
